CADENCE, L-Edit, ... |
CIF comes in many different flavours. LinkCAD can be configured to produce any possible type of CIF file. Select from the list of pre-defined formats to configure LinkCAD for these well-known formats. |
Custom... |
Select this option to manually configure the CIF options. |
Precision |
Some drawing entities don't have an equivalent in the other supported formats. LinkCAD converts such entities to polylines. This setting allows you to control the precision of this conversion. Either specify an absolute tolerance value or a fix the number of polygon vertices per full circle. Setting an absolute tolerance value is preferred because it dynamically adapts the polygon complexity according to the object size. Use a large precision value to limit the size of the polygons. |
Box |
Allow the use of BOX records in the generated CIF file. |
Wire |
Allow the use of WIRE records in the generated CIF file. |
Roundflash |
Allow the use of ROUNDFLASH (circle) records in the generated CIF file. This option is grayed out if you checked CleWin extensions. |
CleWin extensions |
Allow the use of additional CleWin specific extensions. |
Split polygons and wires with more than x vertices |
Some CIF flavours limit the number of vertices per polygon. LinkCAD splits polygons exceeding the specified limit into smaller sub-polygons. |
Space after "DS" |
Include a space after a "DS" (symbol definition) command. |
Space after "L" |
Include a space after a "L" (layer) command. |
Flatten file structure |
Flatten cell hierarchies. Check this option if the CIF flavour does not supporte symbols and symbol references. |
Scaling factor after "DS" |
Always include a scaling factor after a "DS" (symbol definition) command. |
Maximum layer name length |
Set the maximum valid length for layer names. |
No geometries at global scope |
Check to have LinkCAD place only a single symbol reference at the global scope. |
DOS / Windows |
Use DOS/Windows compatible line breaks (CR + LF) |
UNIX |
Use UNIX compatible line breaks. |
Standard |
Select for standard CIF files, which use .01 microns as the basic database units. |
CADENCE |
Select for CADENCE generated files, which use .001 microns as the basic database units. |
