Precision

Some drawing entities don't have an equivalent in the other supported formats. LinkCAD converts such entities to polylines. This setting allows you to control the precision of this conversion. Either specify an absolute tolerance value or a fix the number of polygon vertices per full circle. Setting an absolute tolerance value is preferred because it dynamically adapts the polygon complexity according to the object size. Use a large precision value to limit the size of the polygons.

Conversion options

Load external aperture file

Check this option to enable auto-loading of Protel aperture files (.APT). LinkCAD searches for the aperture file in the same directory as the loaded Gerber file.

Apply layer polarities

If checked, clear-field data is subtracted from dark-field data. If unchecked, clear-field and dark-field data is placed on separate layers.

RS-274D format options

You don't usually have to set the following options for RS-274X files because they are normally stored inside the Gerber file and override these defaults.

Gerber units

These options define the coordinate format of the Gerber data.
These are default options that will be used only if the Gerber file does not specify a coordinate format.

Coordinate format

Zero suppression

Coordinate mode

Circular interpolation

Defines the default mode for circular interpolation. The Gerber file may override this setting. Most files use a default of 90° interpolation.

Modal flash command (D03)

Most Gerber files assume that the flash command (D03) does not have to be repeated, but remains active until another command is encountered. Otherwise uncheck this option.

Modal circular interpolation (G02/G03)

Most Gerber files assume that interpolation modes remain in effect until a different mode is encountered. Otherwise uncheck this option.
