License Backup

If you registered LinkCAD using the Single User License, it created a license backup file "lcadbak.lic" in the LinkCAD program directory.

Example: C:\Program Files\LinkCAD 4\lcadbak.lic

If you have purchased LinkCAD, it is vital that you back this file up in a safe place. Otherwise, if the contents of the hard disk become corrupt or you have to perform a format, LinkCAD will revert back to TRIAL status when reinstalled. If you have the license backup, just place it in the same directory as the LinkCAD setup program. Then run the setup program, which will re-install LinkCAD and recover the lost license.

After purchasing LinkCAD, always back up the "lcadbak.lic" file to a safe place!
