Coordinate Limit of Tanner L-Edit
When importing GDSII files into the Tanner L-Edit EDA tool, you need to ensure that coordinates in the file lie within L-Edit's accepted range of ±536,870,912 database units, which, at 1 database unit ≡ 1 nm translates into roughly ±53 cm or ±21 inches.
Tip: if your layout width and height is smaller than the above limits, but it still contains coordinates outside that range, then you need to recenter the drawing. Identify the coordinate at the center of the drawing, and then use
Tools > Drawing > Translate Origin… to recenter the drawing around that coordinate:
